😃 Welcome to my Evaluation page! Here, I have answered and evaluated 4 questions on my advanced portfolio. I have answered the following questions in a sufficient amount of detail in order to consolidate my progression/ the development of my production, "The Gatekeepers". 😃
Question 1: In what way does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
For this question, I worked with the candidates in my allocated group for my G324 project (Myself, Molly Blake and Anna Smith) in order to construct a response to this question whilst embedding a creative persona. I placed forward the idea of re-creating an animal documentary in order to convey the changes of our conventions/ narrative through the interactions of numerous animals, which is synched perfectly to a voice-over which impersonates a David Attenborough accent.
Panda - represents our product, "The Gatekeepers".
Second Animal - represents the conventions of the product, "Coraline".
Third Animal - represents the conventions of the product, "The Grudge".
Question 2: How effective is the combination of your main product and Ancillary tasks?
For this question. I have exemplified my evaluation in a PowerPoint which is shown to you below!
Question 3:What have you learned from your Audience Feedback?
Again, for this question I worked with the candidates in my allocated group for my G324 project (Myself, Molly Blake and Anna Smith). For this question, our initial idea was to create the premier of our production, "The Gatekeepers".
However, through feedback, we decided that our initial idea was not going to work out, instead, we decided to construct an Oscars speech tailored around our audience feedback. We decided to act everything out as if we was actually at the Oscars! Q3 is shown to you below!
Question 4: How did you use Media Technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
For this question, I worked individually, in which I wanted to embed my creative persona in order to form an interview/ turn-taking type conversation so that I can showcase my knowledge of technologies. Therefore, I decided to take inspiration from Vogue's "73 questions with (Name of celebrity)".
Here is an example:
Shown to you below is my attempt of recreating this. Instead, I have decided to name it "7 Questions with Joseph Squibb" - Inspired by Vogue.
Here is my attempt:
The duration of this video is just over 6 minutes. Though it may be longer than anticipated, each sub-question consumes around 40 seconds to 1 minute of the video. Therefore, I evaluated each sub-question in a sufficient amount of detail which will showcase my knowledge/ evaluative skills about technology in more depth.
1 - "What Websites did you use during the production of your product?"
2 - "In terms of Post-Production, what Hardware's did you use the most and why?"
3 - "Why did you choose Final Cut Pro to edit your film?"
4 - "Why did you use Pixlr to create your film poster?"
5 - "I'm an AS media student and I'm about to start my preliminary task, what Camera do you recommend I use?"
6 - Do you suggest that I use the Microphone during my preliminary task?
7 - How did the Tripod assist you in capturing footage for your production?

My G324 journey is sadly over, I hope that you have enjoyed following me on my adventure to create my G324 project, The "Gatekeepers". The construction of my main product was followed by my two ancillary tasks which have both marketed and criticised my production. And finally, my entire production was consolidated through my evaluation page. Now, all that I have to do is smash this exam in order to achieve the grade that I want! :)
